Question: Talk about the Business and Corporation Law for Sole Trader. Answer: Presentation: Steve has beenrunning a vehicle employing business as a sole dealer. It has been a considerable amount of time since the time the business has been in its usable conditions. In the principal case, Steve's companion, Tom needs to manage misfortune as a result of the way that the load conveyed in truck as recruited by him from Steve got fallen during its excursion to its particular goal. The truck was given to him at a charge of $200 every day and fella to the breakdown; Tom needed to hold up under a reductionof $5,000 in its benefit each day.(Federal Register of Legislation, 2012) In the subsequent situation, Pamela has been watering, for a month, Steve's nursery, in his nonappearance to ensure that all the plants in the nursery don't bite the dust. So as to have an arrival favor from Steve, Pamela had called up Steve so as to get a vehicle; liberated from cost, as her own vehicle was not in a portable condition for the get-away as she was going to take on the coming end of the week. Steve had said that she will get the vehicle, yet because of some unanticipated circumstance, the vehicle was given to some other client, when Pamela had come to take the vehicle, from Steve. So as to get the vehicle, Pamela had concluded that she would prosecute the entire circumstance to ensure that the vehicle she wished to have for the get-away is given to her under any situation.(Australian Catholic University, 2012)(Government, 2012) The third case including Danny is right around a comparable situation where the ideal vehicle was not being given to him. Danny, needing a Toyota Corolla, which he drove a week ago, was prepared to pay $40 every day in addition to the charges of fuel. Steve, consenting to give the equivalent was unconscious of the way that another client annihilated the vehicle, the earlier day. Subsequently, when Danny came to get the vehicle, Steve couldn't flexibly it, as there was no accessibility of the separate vehicle. In the fourth case, Steve had by erroneously sent the marked agreement by fax to Aircon Ltd. As he was happy to sign the agreement among him and a provider of microchips, he needed to deny the agreement as sent by him to Aircon. This happened in light of the way that all these paper got blended around his work area, and he being uninformed which paper was being marked by him, consented to all the terms and conditions as expressed via Aircon Ltd. As his expectation was not to do as such, he educated Trisha, the proprietor of Aircon Ltd. to get the arrangement cancelled.(Government, 2012) Law The Australian Contract Act states for a reality that any understanding or deed, between two people or organizations, would not be viewed as legitimate, till the time lawful enforceability has been executed on the equivalent. The essential component of any agreement is to ensure that it is lawfully fortified. Area 2 of the agreement manages the components of each agreement, which is to be executed by the gatherings in question. Following are sure components, which ought to be separated of an agreement at some random purpose of time: Right off the bat, thereshould an offer made by both of the gatherings, which should be beneficial enough for all the gatherings concerned. Furthermore, theoffer ought to be acknowledged and the data ought to be transmitted to the gathering making an offer. Thirdly, thought ought to be given for the proposal to the individual or organization making an offer. Fourthly, the gatherings ought to lawfully authorize the understanding or guarantee under the law.(FOS, 2014) Application As referenced above, it is essential to host an agreement between the gatherings before any issue could be taken to the court.Inthe instance of organizations as well, contracts assume a significant job in executing all their individual tasks. Applying the standard in the main threecases,it ought to be said that there was no agreement as such among Steve and different gatherings included. In the principal case, Steve isn't answerable for the breakdown of the suspension in the truck (due to which Tom needed to tolerate lost $5,000 every day). It may be a minor mishap or Tom didn't tie the locks productively. In the secondscenario, Pamela, who has been watering his nursery for his plants to develop for a month, didn't have any understanding or agreement with Steve to do as such. It was simply because of the genial connection they share, which had her accomplish the work. There was no commitment on Steve to give her the vehicle, as there was no agreement between them. In the third situat ion, Danny when went to take the vehicle, he was educated that vehicle was devastated on the earlier day by some other client and subsequently the equivalent couldn't be given to him on the specified date.(Government, 2013) In the fourth and last case, the agreement was marked Steve unintentionally and subsequently he needed to repudiate the equivalent and educated Aircon Pty Ltd. As the agreement was marked between both the gatherings, Aircon Ltd didn't have any expectation to really break the agreement. Thus, therefore, Steve needed to take the case to the court to get the agreement revoked.(Government, 2014) End In the cases as referenced above, it tends to be said that the agreement demonstration assumes an exceptionally basic job in the different organizations. As in the fourth case, the agreement must be denied. Thus, the arrangements in the agreement demonstration had assumed a significant job for Steve. Aside from this, in different cases, it was significant for entire situation to be qualified as an agreement. There was no particular agreement between any of the gatherings and thus no legitimate move can be made against Steve and his business. (LawNotes, 2011) References Government Register of Legislation. Sublime Elements in Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel Essay

â The epic Like Water for Chocolate, distributed in 1989, was composed by Laura Esquivel who is of Spanish legacy. She lives in Mexico, and Like Water for Chocolate was her first novel. I feel that in the story Laura Esquivel gives a great deal of mysterious components that are treated as genuine so as to inspire feelings about affection, however it additionally utilizes numerous highlights of superb writing. In Like Water for Chocolate, a young lady named Tita was conceived. At the point when she was first conceived, it makes reference to that she was truly washed into this world on an incredible tide of tears that overflowed the edge of the table and overwhelmed over the kitchen floor (6). This event has all the earmarks of being an otherworldly component as opposed to the eminent. A child can't be washed into the world. Accordingly, I feel that it is supernatural. Another supernatural pragmatist component is that when Tita was conceived, Nacha cleared up the buildup the tears had left on the red stone floor. On the floor was sufficient salt to fill a ten-pound sack that was utilized for cooking and kept going quite a while (7). This component is more otherworldly than great since this event can not happen. Be that as it may, it is a genuine case of grand writing since it shows Longinus' idea of aggregation as a component of eminent language. The salt from Tita's introduction to the world unquestionably managed collection. What's more, in Like Water for Chocolate, when Tita was making her sister Rosaura's wedding cake a mysterious component happened. She was making her sister's wedding cake, and simultaneously, she was considering Pedro with whom she was infatuated with and who was wedding her sister. As she was considering Pedro, she started to cry. While she was crying, a tear drop went into the cake, and she was anxious about the possibility that that it wrecked the meringue. The occasion... ...components. I didn't see numerous pragmatist components in the story Like Water for Chocolate. In any case, the pragmatist components didn't identify with the wonderful just as the otherworldly components did. That the glorious isn't utilized as much recorded as a hard copy. I feel that the heavenly should be increasingly satisfied for individuals to comprehend it better. There are numerous articles that an individual can discover on the great, and it would be another, pleasant experience to become familiar with some data on something new throughout everyday life. Implementation of Medication Safety Alerts †Free Samples to Students

Question: Talk about the Implementation of Medication Safety Alerts. Answer: Presentation: The intelligent framework assessed in this report is AutoCAD. AutoCAD is a PC helped structure (CAD) program or programming that is utilized to make specialized 2D or 3D drawings, models or delineations of structures, machines, PC chips, fabricating merchandise, spans, streets, design items, and so on. This is one of the most intricate intuitive frameworks. It is utilized by various experts, for example, engineers, planners, fashioners, craftsmen, drafters (common drafters, mechanical drafters, electrical drafters, structural drafters, electrical drafters and hardware drafters), temporary workers, building supervisors, game designers, 3D artists, visual originators, item makers, model creators, and innovators, among others. In spite of the fact that to a great extent utilized in building field, AutoCAD programming likewise has applications in various different fields, for example, style and medication/healthcare(Letafatkar, et al., 2011). The experts that utilization AutoCAD are acce pted to have been prepared on the most proficient method to utilize the product and completely comprehend CAD standards. Accordingly clients of AutoCAD must have essential specialized information and aptitudes. By the by, AutoCAD is likewise utilized as a learning apparatus that improves understudies understanding(Gracia-Ibanez Vergara, 2016) (particularly designing students)(Zakaria, et al., 2012). AutoCAD clients have a wide scope of capacities. They can utilize the product to make 2D or 3D models or drawings of structures or items they need to make; make and give measurements (pattern measurements, rakish measurements or outspread measurements), estimations and notes of the structure or item; make specialized outlines and schematic of structures and items; make layers (that can be turned here and there) of different frameworks of the structure, (for example, plumbing frameworks, electrical frameworks, warming frameworks, ventilation frameworks and cooling frameworks) or item; import layers from different drawings and add them to the working drawing; alter, adjust or make changes to the drawings made to address any mistakes and guarantee that they are according to the necessary particulars; embed obstructs that have just been utilized or made on the drawing; import a PAGESETUP from other drawings(Pei, 2017); make custom palettes and squares; make diverse viewports of the drawi ng; control outside references; make and apply materials; apply rendering; give estimations of materials expected to make the structures and items; think imaginatively and basically; break down drawings widely; peruse and investigate drawings fundamentally; and plan fitting drawings layout records and development or assembling documentation. Other central abilities of AutoCAD clients include: carefully see all orders of the product; know and use easy route scratches to complete the structure work all the more rapidly; see all drafting strategies, images and codes; fast in learning any new programming instruments and orders; plan appropriately on the most proficient method to begin and finish a task effectively; impart and work together successfully with other venture colleagues; store and recover information and documents effectively and rapidly; spare records in various organizations; utilize the product along with other pertinent frameworks, apparatuses and advancements, for example, Excel, Building Information Modeling (BIM), lean assembling device, and so on., and present last work exquisitely, unequivocally and expertly; decipher drawings unmistakably. These capacities shift contingent upon the information level of the client. The clients tried in this paper will be sorted as amateur clients, halfway clients, and pr opelled clients. The utilization cases The subsets of the usefulness of AutoCAD programming that will considered in this report are: import spared settings of layers from an alternate drawing (especially measurement styles, shading styles and content styles) and use them in another drawing; embed obstructs from different drawings or online sources, and amount estimation that includes evaluating the amount of materials expected to make the planned structure or item. Along these lines the utilization cases considered in this report are: bringing in and utilizing layers from an alternate drawing, embeddings hinders that were utilized and spared in an alternate drawing, and amount estimation. Every one of these assignments are finished and tried utilizing AutoCAD. In the primary use case, measurement styles, shading styles and content styles (layer settings) that were utilized and spared in an alternate drawing will be imported and utilized in the new drawing. The client will be required to begin the AutoCAD programming, open the working page where the drawing is being made, and follow the necessary orders to significant the correct layers from the spared drawing and use it in the drawing that is being dealt with. In the subsequent use case, the client should acquire a few squares from both spared structure drawings, and addition them in the drawing that is being dealt with. The squares will incorporate drawing subtleties and images. In the third use case, the client will appraise the aggregate sum of materials that are required to assemble, fabricate or make the planned structure or item. The amounts of individual segments will be resolved them summarized to locate the all out gauge. This report won't consider other use instances of AutoCAD, for example, making new squares, applying rendering, breaking down drawings completely, bringing in a PAGESETUP, altering drawings to suit new changes, getting ready drawing documentations, and so forth. The spotlight may be on the three use cases referenced previo usly. In all these utilization cases, the AutoCAD client must have the imperative abilities to play out the assignments. For example, the client should completely comprehend the devices and orders that ought to be utilized, and how to utilize them. The assessment strategy The major objective of this procedure is to decide the capacities of various AutoCAD clients in playing out the previously mentioned use cases. This will help in deciding the most appropriate human factors that ought to be viewed as when structuring AutoCAD and other intuitive frameworks. It is imperative to consider human variables when planning intelligent systems(Leva, et al., 2015); (Phansalkar, et al., 2010). This is on the grounds that human factors altogether impact the communication among clients and the systems(Robert, 2011);(Samer, 2016). On the off chance that fitting human components are not thought of, at that point clients cooperation, abilities and comprehension of the frameworks may not be comparable to needed(Al-Ageel, et al., 2015). At the end of the day, human elements impact client abilities and experience(Abduljalil Kang, 2011); (Saeed, et al., 2014). The clients were ordered into three gatherings: novice clients, middle of the road clients, and propelled clients. Tenderfoot clients are those with fundamental AutoCAD aptitudes. They might be still during the time spent preparing or figuring out how to utilize AutoCAD. Middle of the road clients are those with impressive AutoCAD aptitudes. They are generally those that have finished AutoCAD preparing and utilizing it for quite a while. Propelled clients are those with significant level AutoCAD capacities. They more likely than not utilized the product for a significant long time and hence are extremely acquainted with it. Every client was required to play out the three errands sequentially. Prior to beginning to play out the undertakings, clients were required to note down the objective or anticipated result of the assignment, express the general methodology of playing out each errand, list orders that will be utilized in playing out the undertaking, distinguish different symbols o r images utilized in playing out the assignment, express the contributions for each errand, and give the evaluated time to finish the errands. From that point, clients executed the three errands, each in turn. In the wake of finishing the errands, clients were asked to answer inquiries and give their criticism on the accompanying issues: inputs utilized, simplicity of distinguishing symbols, format unpredictability, simplicity of finding and utilizing orders, number of easy route keys utilized, nature of writings and pictures, all out time taken to finish the three undertakings, productivity, mistake recurrence, dullness and fatigue, task adequacy, self-sufficiency and client fulfillment. Every one of these undertakings were performed utilizing a similar rendition of AutoCAD 2014, introduced in personal computers in the college PC lab. The three errands in this paper are: bringing in spared layers from an alternate drawing, embeddings squares acquired from another drawing, and amount estimation. Bringing in layers: layers are one of the components of AutoCAD drawings that fundamentally impacts how the last drawing resembles. The particular layers imported in this report were measurement styles, shading styles and content style. At the point when layer is entered as an order fast, different alternatives are shown relying upon the structure or item being drawn. In the event that it is building, layer choices can incorporate establishment, floor plan, installations, entryways, cupboards, rooftop, electrical, plumbing, etc.(Pandey, 2016). The properties and perceivability of these items can be controlled utilizing layers, for example, linetype, shading, and so forth. For the most part, layers help in sorting out different objects of the drawing by reason or capacity along these lines decreasing its complexity(Autodesk Inc., 2015). They additionally help in improving perceivability of the drawing. Embeddings hinders: a square alludes to a named object involving at least one objects(Autodesk Inc., 2018). At the point when a square is embedded, all data of the square (counting layers, linetypes, geometry and hues) are additionally moved and put away in a table of definitions off camera. The squares embedded in this activity were from an alternate drawing. It is likewise significant that squares can be embedded from the present drawing. Assessing amount of materials: AutoCAD can be utilized to ascertain or register amounts of materials that are expected to make a structure, machine or item that is in the drawing. Since AutoCAD drawings are sorted out in layers, the client needs to evaluate materials for every individual layer

Symptoms and Treatment of Bipolar Disorder - Free Essay Example

Bipolar Disorder (BPD) is a psychological disorder that affects the brain of over 60 million adults (WHO, 2018). It is characterized by two moods: mania and depression. These moods have been known to manifest themselves in various ways, from changes in attitude, to full blown manic episodes that include blackouts and irrational behavior. At this time, there is no official recorded physiological test for BPD. However, some psychologists have taken an interest in measuring lithium deficiency among patients. Doctors can also attempt to identify it by ruling out other serious neurological conditions while observing a patients behavior. Bipolar Disorder can be a burden, but can be treated effectively using cognitive behavioral therapy, in conjunction with pharmaceutical intervention. What is Bipolar Disorder? Bipolar Disorder had been classically described by psychiatrists as occasional mood disturbances. What psychologists now know is that these mood disturbances are not always episodic, but can be a constant, everyday struggle (Soreca et al., 2009). Consider a pendulum, swinging back and forth from one side to another. This is a physical example of a patient dealing with the cycles of BPD. A patient can experience symptoms of mania: sleeplessness but with increased energy, extreme irritability, the irrational need to spend money, abnormally increased sexual desire (coupled with deviant sexual behavior), an abuse of drugs and alcohol, blackouts and loss of memory (BBF, 2018). This can last up to seven days, until the pendulum swings to the opposite side. This can lead to symptoms of depression: sadness and anxiety, fatigue and decreased energy, feelings of hopelessness, changes in appetite, and even thoughts of death or suicide (BBF, 2018). Patients with BPD toggle back and forth between these two moods in a constant cycle. The nature of these cycles has been categorized into three types of BPD: Bipolar Disorder I, for which a patients symptoms are so severe, he or she may end up causing themselves or others severe financial destruction or end up needing hospitalization; Bipolar Disorder II, for which a patients symptoms are more defined by shifts in mood, but not full blown episodes of mania or depression; Bipolar Disorder with Rapid Cycling, for which a patient may experience episodes more than four times a year (BBF, 2018). Diathetical Factors and Etiology Because psychologists are still trying to determine a physiological sign for BPD, it is difficult to pinpoint what the diathetic factors are. According to psychologist Datto, there are two major factors that could possibly contribute to the etiology of BPD: biological factors and environmental factors. Biologically, physical changes seem to occur in the brains of patients with BPD, although the reasons for this remain unclear. Genetically, BPD tends to appear in families with a history of the disorder, especially among first-degree relatives. Scientists have been able to show correlation between a patients genetics and family history (Datto et al., 2016). Hormonally, an imbalance has been shown to trigger the onset of BPD. Environmentally, an extreme amount of stress or a traumatic experience can often exacerbate symptoms of BPD or cause it to present itself if it has not already been diagnosed (Soreca et al., 2009). Treatment and Limitations Treatment for Bipolar Disorder is a multi-step process. Both medication and cognitive therapy go hand in hand to effectively control the symptoms of BPD, and make a patients life more comfortable. Pharmaceutically, Lithium, which has long been used as a mood stabilizer, has shown to be the most effective in treating a patients mania by altering the functions of neurons, as well as re-balancing hormones that cause manic behavior and/ or suicidal thoughts (Monteggia, 2017). According to psychologist Monteggia, BDNF, a protein that influences the degree to which neurons in the brain form connections with one another, tends to be lower in patients with bipolar disorder. Lithium treatment has been shown to increase these levels. Lithium does not have to be used long term, and a patient can eventually be weaned off, potentially being prescribed another long term medication once they have exhibited a balance in mood. Of course, most medications come with side effects, and while there is much agreement in the psychiatric community as to the effectiveness of Lithium, patients who actually suffer from BPD do not often enjoy whats been called the numb feeling they develop while taking it. In an on the record interview with Nathan Green, a current patient of Austin Lakes Hospital, who is receiving treatment for Bipolar Disorder I with rapid cycling in their outpatient program, he states, While being on Lithium has definitely calmed my erratic behavior, it has also made me feel completely emotionless. I no longer get sad or angry, but I also dont really feel any joy. I dont react to humorous things, I dont really laugh or cry. I am just here. But after Greens experience with an extreme manic episode, where he maxed out three of his wifes credit cards, experienced a black out, and has now had to file for bankruptcy, he is more than willing to endure the side effects of what will hopefully be an effectiv e treatment. I hit rock bottom, I let my family down, and the worst part is I dont even remember doing most of it, he claims (Green, N. August 28, 2018). Another facet of treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy. Bipolar Disorder patients have cognitive difficulties in everyday functionality such as memory, attention, and motivation (Goodwin et al., 2008). For patients such as Green, outpatient programs, like the one at Austin Lakes Hospital, offer individualized strategies for: communicating with family members and peers when the onset of a manic or depressive episodes may be occurring, problem solving in the event of stress or mania, sleep/wake cycle regulation, and task oriented goal setting. Learning to recognize and manage episodes of mania and depression can help a patient successfully function in everyday situations that they may have found previously impossible. It can also prevent dangerous behaviors from occurring during a severely manic episode. However, for these cognitive therapies to be effective, a patient has to be motivated enough to put these skills into practice, which can be difficult if the patients medications a re ineffective, or if the patient does not have the will to get better. Bipolar Disorder requires much more research and study before psychiatrists and psychologists can truly understand the influences and etiology of the disorder. In recent years, great strides have been made to treat BPD effectively in patients to help ease the difficulties of living life on an emotional pendulum. If those diagnosed with BPD continue to pair medical intervention with psychotherapy, reducing, or even eliminating, this disorder can be accomplished.

The Supply Chain Management System - 859 Words

Supply Chain Management is defined as the oversight of materials, information, and finances as they move in a course of action from supplier to manufacturer to wholesaler to retailer to consumer. It includes numerous activities such as coordinating and integrating these flows both within and amid companies. By directing the supply chain, companies are able to cut excess fat and provide products faster. This is done by keeping tighter control of internal inventories, internal production, distribution, sales and the inventories of the company s product purchasers, therefore completing the objective in a Supply Chain Management system by decreasing inventory. However there are risks taken by companies as the globalization of their supply chain is paired with concerns about the quality of products that are made in other countries may not meet regulatory standards, therefore puts their products in jeopardy of being recalled. This means that supply chain managers are responsible for ensuri ng suppliers and their products maintain safety and quality standards. Recalls or safety issues can damage a company’s reputation. As I was reading an article online about Toyota, I realized that Toyota was in a similar situation as they recalled 7.5 million cars around the world so they can fix faulty power window switches that can potentially catch a fire. Toyota had issues using the right amount of grease to coat the switches. Philosophy of Child Development Essay - 1092 Words

Through my studies of Early Childhood Education, I have come to form my own philosophy on child development. In HCCF 467: Philosophies and Theories of Child Development, I took the Teacher Belief Inventory which assisted me in expressing my individual philosophy on child development. This inventory is a list of 30 statements for which you rate how strongly you agree or disagree. A number of points are given to each answer given, and then these scores are added up in three categories: cognitive-developmental, cultural-training/behaviorist, and maturationist-socialization. According to the inventory, if your scores are less than 10 points apart, the teacher is not a strong adherent of any position. None of my scores were more than 10 points†¦show more content†¦The children were involved in a variety of activities which allowed them to experience the bugs hands on. They were involved in the process of picking out their bugs and studying them. The amount of information they wer e able to remember was displayed the next day when the class was able to tell a classmate, who was absent during the activities, all about bugs. When it came time to assess the children on their knowledge of bugs, the children who were involved in the activities were able to identify more than the child who was absent, even after she was told about bugs. I believe that children need to be engaged in hands on learning experiences in order to assimilate new information. I think that children take in information the way Piaget described with assimilation, accommodation, and organization. Children are taking in new information everyday. The way they process the information is through taking it in and associating it with information they already know. After exploring the information, they accommodate or construct new ideas about the information. Afterwards, they organize the information into systems they can understand (Santrock, 2005). Another statement I strongly agreed with came from the maturationist-socialization category. â€Å"Teacher initiates and/or directs activity appropriate to the child’s level† (Peters, Niesworth, Yankey, 1985)Show MoreRelatedMy Philosophy Toward Child Development876 Words   |  4 Pagesrequirements, adequate lighting, ventilation, fire codes. Essay on Chivalric Romance in Sir Gawin and the Green Knight

What does a Chivalric Romance really represent? In â€Å"Sir Gawain and The Green Knight,† Sir Gawain continuously proves his knightly virtues and code of honor. Chivalry includes bravery, honor and humanity. He proves that he is in fact a â€Å"real† knight. It shows many ways that â€Å"Sir Gawain and the Green Knight† are perfect and the emphasis on the importance of the chivalric code. Despite its divine origins, the chivalric code is ultimately a human ideal. Chivalry is not a trait naturally found in man, but rather a concept constructed by humanity in its pursuit for Christ-like perfection. It has even been suggested that chivalry is at odds with the nature of man. Despite the weakness of his human nature, however, Sir Gawain is expected to†¦show more content†¦However, here the insignificance of the code is once again hinted at, for this challenge reveals a contradiction: it is rude of Sir Gawain to decline a ladys wish, yet it is not proper for him to yield to her desires. Although Sir Gawain does grant her request for a kiss, he still manages to uphold his agreement with his host. As promised, he gives his host the days profits: as the Green Knight later recalls, You kissed my comely wife - each kiss you restored (Part 4). In this manner, Sir Gawain manages to uphold the code despite the complications presented by this particular situation. Despite Sir Gawains reputation as a noble and chivalrous knight of King Arthurs Round Table and his ability to uphold the code under challenging circumstances, Sir Gawain is only human. It must be noted, however, that although there are many indications that what is said and done out of expectations is not always what is actually thought. It is suggested that Sir Gawain honestly believes in the courageous words he speaks as he accepts the challenge: he is later described as to his word most true/ And in speech most courteous knight (Part 2). In fact, Sir Gawain is more or less seen as the ideal knight, Devoid of all villainy, with virtures adorned/ in sight (Part 2). This quality is perhaps what makes him ideal for the tests at hand, because it reveals that human weakness can be found within even the most seemingly perfect men. More importantly, however, this

Famous Speech and Critical Thinking for JF Kennedy -myassignmenthelp

Question: Discuss about theFamous Speech and Critical Thinking for JF Kennedy. Answer: Introduction The aim of this paper to focus is to critically analyze the speech of JF Kennedy during his inaugural address as a President and the video statement made by Apple in 2017 on the themes of inclusiveness and diversity. Employing the learning outcome from critical business thinking, this paper examines the structure of the speech and video statement and contextualizes the contents of the speech and the company statement. Then the paper shifts to analyzing the difference between the structures of the video statement by Apple and JF Kennedys speech and engages in a critical comparison. Analysis of John F Kennedys 1961 speech John F Kennedy delivered an inaugural address in Washington on January 20, 1961. When he took the oath to the office, he was the 35th President (Goetsch and Davis 2014). JF Kennedy delivered a speech characterized with rhetorics and lofty promises to uplift America from the then misery. Kennedy emphasized about human agency, the power of man to change the course of destiny and usher in transformations in their situations. Kennedy emphasized that Americans should not forget the contributions of the previous generations and therefore, it is the responsibility of the present generation to carry forward the legacy of their forefather. The new generation of Americans should not forget the trials and tribulations induced by war and the glorious heritage that they are predecessors (Cottrell 2017). His speech was beaming with optimism and he emphasized on the vision of American towards its competitors, towards the friends and towards the spiritual and the cultural allies. JF Kennedy was reso lute in his commitment to bring an end to mass slavery across the world and the plight of poverty. JF Kenndys speech was important considering the changing socio-political conditions in America, he appealed to the sentiments of the people to break the shackles of misery and poverty all across the world. JF Kennedys speech is important in the context there were many new countries that wanted to assert independence from the colonial powers and therefore, Kennedys exhortation that they wish to be an ally of America is quite appropriate (Martnez 2016). Kennedys contention on making America s superpower emphasized on Americas vision of becoming a superpower in the unipolar world. America sought to emerge as the superpower and establish itself as the most powerful nation all over the world. His exhortation on the capability of United Nations as the last hope for seeking justice and appeal for peace brought out USAs alliance with United Nations. Kennedy dreamt of an America that would emer ge as the bastion of justice and become a beacon of hope for the teeming million populations all over the world (Collis and Hussey 2013). Kennedy spoke about the dominance of modern weapons and this highlighted the growing threat from the biological wars of weapon, nuclear war and destruction caused by modern war. Kennedy spoke the role of Russia and the imperative for Russia to come together and be part of important decision-making rather than fighting a lone battle. The audience of John F Kennedy who came to listen to his speech went far beyond the people (Martin 2015). His speech appealed to a wider global audience. As can be inferred from the contents, tone and the layout of his speech that he insinuated on the cold war. The speech was arranged in a manner to embolden the different nations of the world and inspire the citizens of the world to not to lose hope and hold onto their courage (Rabe 2014). The most interesting part of the speech articulated by Kennedy and felt by other citizens is that And so my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you- ask what you can do for your country. His speech is important in the context of his victory by a small margin. His inaugural address was successful in reaching to a wider audience and people who ahs heard his speech applauded him (Newcomb, Alyssa,What Apple Is Doing About Lack Of Diversity In The Workplace 2018). His speech made a connection with people and elementary school children wrote to him a letter of appreciation. Analysis of statement by the company-Apple annual report Apples famous inclusion and diversity video harps on the concept of diversity as open and the emphasized on the imperative to embrace new culture. This video begins with women garbed in her hijab and articulating about the need to embrace. The notion of inclusiveness and diversity that has taken the world by storm (Bryman and Bell 2015). It has become important to foster new values. It shows the companys endeavors to incorporate inclusiveness and promote the values of diversity. This video and the themes featured in the video have become a become an important topic in the Silicon Valley (Paul and Elder 2013). The video presents Apples policy that open is not just a word but emphasizes on the importance of inclusiveness. The video talks about the need to embrace people who are disabled, able-bodied, from different races, cultures, personalities, ideologies and differences (Ru-Chu 2013). The speech focuses that humanity is not singular but it is diverse and lingers on the issue of plur alism. In Apple, 29 per cent of the leaders are women (Hair et al. 2015). It was further reported that 39 per cent of the employees are women and are below the age of 30. It was reported that the female representation in Apple is on a steady rise. There has been an increase in the number of women since the survey conducted in 2014. The company acknowledged that it is dependent on the spectacular contributions of the women leaders in and employees in the company. Many women in the company are under the age of 30 (Zikmund, Babin, Carr and Griffin 2013). About 39 per cent of the women in the company are women. The Vice-President of Apple Kim was of the opinion that she was thrilled to be a part of Apple and her stint as a woman leader. The company has shown commitment towards the cause of diversity. During the period of July 2016 to July 2017, more than half of the employees who were recruited into Apple belong to historically underrepresented group that includes women, black, Hispanic , Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander and Native American. The new people hired or recruited have been claimed to be more diverse compared to the present employees. The HR team in Apple is aware that the people whoa re being recruited today will reflect the culture of the company tomorrow. Apple is a global company with more than 130000 employees. Since 2014 there has been a high induction of female employees in the company and it has recruited 37, 000 women on a global basis. The brand believes that a welcoming community would be helpful for the diverse communities to experience the world of Apple. The diversity and inclusiveness is posited to be useful for the future of Apple. Apple has achieved pay equity in almost all the countries. It has created opportunities for women to earn at par with men and made an attempt to eliminate their marginalization. Apple have also shown its commitment towards people with sexually diverse background, this includes the rights of the LGBTQ Equality and Human Rights Campaign (HRC). In 2017, Apple have dedicated a part of its proceeds for the Pride Edition Apple Watch Band, the Trevor Project and the ILGA. Apple is of the belief that that most powerful; technology should be at the disposal of everyone that should include the individual with different disabilities (Borchorst and Siim, 2016)This creates opportunities for everyone to work. Apple is of the belief that a more diverse future can be possible by emphasizing on the aspect of education. Apple has been the partner of National Center for Women Technology Information Technology that is committed towards the cause of women empowerment and participation of women within its network. This initiative by A pple has made an appeal to a section of audience who believes in the cause of empowerment, equality and diversity. These are the millenials. However, the rhetoric of Apple might not be compatible for sections of critics who may feel that corporate are trying to exploit the sentiments of popular sentiments of people for their own benefits. There has been a trend to incorporate the values of equality, women empowerment and diversity and the corporate enter[rises and in this case, Apple have understood that using such rhetorics would enhance their brand value and take them to a wider audience. This can also be related to Apples history of being exclusionary and discriminatory. According to a report published on August 12, 2014, Apple was accused of its lack of diversity. The diversity report published by Apple found that that the most likely person to occupy the top paying and prestigious position would be a male and white (Kernbach, Seppler and Bresciani 2015). The then CEO of Apple T im Cook was not contended with the current position of Apple and felt that Apple needs to adopt more inclusive policies. Cook further opined that Apple has shown commitment in improving the experiences of the employees and striving towards greater diversity Structural comparison of speech and statement In case of the JF inaugural address it was found that the speech proceeded in a coherent manner with pauses sometimes to allow the audience to feel the impact of the speech. The speech has been written and articulated in a manner such that it appeals to the sentiments of the audience. As witnessed above, the speech was well received and even connected with the children. In case of Apples statement on inclusiveness and diversity, youtube has been used. The use of video in a digital era is an appropriate decision. Apple has strongly emphasized on the themes of equality, diversity and inclusiveness by creating a video of its employees who are considered as assets of the company. Kennedys speech was made in the context of cold war, potential threat from nuclear weapon and the emphasis of a powerful America that is premised on the foundations of ethical values. In Kennedys speech there are loft promises and emotional exhortations strewn throughout the speech. In case of Apple the employme nt of real life people instead of models to cut across the issue of diversity and inclusiveness in a good step. The video persuades to embrace ideologies, emphasizes on the plurality of humanity and celebration of differences. Towards the end, the video is shown with women leaders from the company who have made important contributions. The structure of the Apple statement would appeal to the millenials as the key words of open, embrace, difference; plurality and inclusiveness have become essential in the contemporary time. The speech proceeded in a manner so that it would appeal to the sentiments of the audience and through images, there was an attempt to establish the stand of the company against the rising criticism it has faced over the years. The portrayal of women employees towards the end of the is an attempt of Apple to entrench its view and silence its challengers. Conclusion This paper was concerned with the inaugural address of John F Kennedy and the video statement made by Apple towards its stand on equality, diversity, difference and inclusiveness. It was found that the speech by John F Kennedy was well received by a wider audience including children. The speech was organized in a manner that it could linger on different themes that was considered appropriate for the then American context. America was dealing with the complexities of civil war, cold war, threats from other nations, emphasis on making America a strong nation and other relevant issues of the time. On the other hand, Apples statement focused on the issues infesting the present generation as well as the accusations made against Apple about its lack of diversity. Gender Inequality at Workplace in Australia

Question: Write a research proposal on "Gender inequality at workplace in Australia". Answer: Introduction: For an economy to grow successfully there is a need for the participation of both women and men equally in the entire field. The equality of the wages is a primary concern and this has been for a long time. The history of Australia has shown that there is in no way the wages of the men and women were equal rather there was always a gap. Women have always been undervalued which has led to increasing level of hardship and discrimination at the place of work. Male counterpart has always received higher levels of wages in the pace of work and that too in almost all the domains (Biddle Emmett, 2013). They also receive higher benefits, awards, superannuation and the greater chances for promotion. There have been significant steps taken so that the gap is reduced at the workplace and they are legislation, wage rates and awards. The implementation of this was not done in a thorough manner. There is a greater need for the strategies to be implemented so that the differences in the wage can b e overcome. The research paper will help in assessing the extent of gender inequality in the place of work in Australia, issues faced and ways to overcome. Rationale of Research: Gender inequality at the place of work is a growing concern in workplace and this need to be resolved. It has been seen that the victims of gender inequality are demotivated and they lose their morale so they are not able to perform effectively in their job. The productivity is also lost when there is gender discrimination. Women are tied to the family responsibilities and other duties for which the employers they are reluctant to hire them, as they would be more involved in the family duties. The employer is prohibited by the law to ask such question. Australia and many other countries have made progress towards equality at work. There are certain gaps revealed in the current research through the literature review, which would be addressed in the paper. Aim and Objectives: As per the discussion of the background, the main of the research proposal is to see how the employees in an organization coming from the different backgrounds perceived the problem of gender inequality. The more specific objectives are: To analyse the extent to which there is gender inequality perceived by the employees in their work place To identify the factors that has resulted in the gender equality at the place of work To analyse the way the employees they are reacting to the inequality in pay. To identify the factors that would help in resolving the gender inequality in workplace Research Question: The following are the research questions for this thesis paper: What is the extent the employees they perceive gender equality at work place? What are the factors that have resulted in gender inequality at the place of work? What is the reaction of the employees towards inequality in pay? What are the ways through which the gap in gender at workplace be reduced. Research Design: There will be use of both the qualitative and quantitative research. Sampling Procedure: Sampling is a very important method that is used for deciding on the persons to be used for the research. Sampling is a convenient way of conducting the research. The sample should involve some characteristics of the population so that the research results are positive (Bryman, 2012). Sample is a subset of the population. There are two types of sampling techniques that are used commonly and they are probability and the non-probability sampling (Buglear, 2012). In this research paper, the researcher is going to use the simple random sampling technique for the purpose of the research. Simple random sampling technique will not hold any type of biases. There are 50 employees of an organization in Australia selected through this technique. Of the 50 employees, 30employees are male and 20 employees are female are choosen. This will be done using the random selection. The employees will be accessed in an organization in Australia. This also reflected that there is gender inequality present in this form of method of sampling. This technique is cost effective and is done within the time. There are 4 managers of the same organization who were selected through the convenience sampling. This method helped in the easy access to the managers. The four managers will be chosen from the HR department. Data Collection: Data collection is the technique that is used for carrying out the research with a certain tool (Chandra Sharma, 2013). The data collection is divided in the qualitative and the quantitative techniques. Quantitative Data Collection: In case of quantitative collection of the data, there are 50 employees of the Australian organization selected for the survey. The research instrument used for this purpose is questionnaire. They were asked questions based on the close-ended questions. There are some options for each of the questions. The statistics that are gained will help in getting a better understanding of the statistics. Qualitative Data Collection: In the qualitative form of data collection is applied for interviewing 4 managers of the organization. The interview would be conducted on the convenience of the managers and time that they have granted. Transcripts are taken from them so that it can be analysed later. The interview with the managers will be conducted face to face and will be asked whether the employees they have come up with the problems of gender inequality. Draft Research Instruments: The instrument or the tool that is used for the purpose of the research is the questionnaire (Donley, 2012). There were two type of questionnaires framed for the research one that is the closed ended questions and the other is the open-ended questions. The close-ended questions are asked to employees of the organization and open-ended questions were asked to the managers of the same organization. The structured questions has been asked to the employees where there need to tick off answers i.e. yes or no or there is a list of options. The unstructured questions have been asked to the managers. Through the unstructured questions, the managers would be flexible in answering the questions. Proposed Data Analysis: The data that is collected will be used formulating the tables and the charts that are done through the Microsoft Excel .SPSS software will help in performing statistical analysis. This will help in understanding of the subject in a better way through the survey. The percentages that are derived from the data that has been collected will be used for understanding the opinion of the employees on the gender inequality issues that is faced in the organization. The variables that is looked for is the factors that tend to affect the gender inequality i.e. sex, lack of education, extreme poverty .The interview that is taken from the manager is used as transcripts. The transcripts are analysed to see what the manager does for stopping the gender inequality at the place of work. The qualitative data will be analysed through the method of content analysis. There is a need for ideas about the hypothesis that would emerge and look for them into the data that has been collected. Ethical Consideration: The researcher while carrying out the research must see that he does not hurt the sentiments of the employees. There should not be any pressure provided to the employees. They are to be requested to participate in the research. The purpose of the research should be made clear to the employees (Eriksson Kovalainen, 2012). They must be ensured that the information that they provided will be secure and is no way would it be leaked. There is a possibility that all the positive things are reported and there is no mention of the negative aspects. The researcher needs to build a good rapport with the employees so that they are able to give the correct information through ease (Goodson, Loveless, Stephens, 2012). The researcher might be facing the potentiality of risk when they try to question the employees for the research (Jagodzinski Wallin, 2013). Strengths and the Limitations of the project: There is both primary and secondary research done for the thesis and for this, there are limitations that the researcher faces. Strengths of the research: When the researcher conducts primary research then there is full control over the research. The research will be streamlined as per the scope and the objectives. Primary data will help in addressing the targeted issues. (Kumar, 2011). In case of the primary data collection, the marketer as per their need interpret examine of the data collected rather than relying on the secondary data. (Novikov Novikov, 2013). The primary data that is collected by the researcher is quite recent rather than secondary sources (Love, 2012). The use of the secondary sources of the data is very cost effective and this is easily available through the internet (Oakshott, 2012). Strength of Quantitative research is that is helps in the quick collection of the data. This will help in the testing and validating the theories about why and how the phenomenon has occurred. The advantage of qualitative research is that the issue of gender inequality is evaluated in detail and in-depth Limitation of the research: The researcher to conduct the primary research needs to incur higher cost. All the materials that is needed for the research is borne by the researcher (Salaberry Comajoan, 2013). This is a very time consuming technique, as the questions needs to be Timetable: References: Biddle, J. Emmett, R. (2013).A research annual. Bingley, U.K.: Emerald. Bryman, A. Family, its meaning, important and functions free essay sample

Family, what is it? The Thesaurus dictionary defines family as â€Å"a primary social group consisting of parents and their offspring. † Dcitionary. com defines family as â€Å"any group of persons closely related by blood, as parents, children, uncles, aunts, and cousins. † Do you agree with it? What is your concept of family? For me, family has more to do with the emotional side because someone might have been adopted, might be an exchange student but still is part of the family. Two years ago, I was an exchange student. I lived in Snellville, Georgia with the Head family. I wasn’t related to them by blood, I was not even adopted (meaning that I didn’t have their middle nor last name) but that didn’t stop me from feeling like I was a part of the family. There I learned a new concept of what family is and what the functions of the family are. We will write a custom essay sample on Family, its meaning, important and functions or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page The functions of the family are giving material and emotional security to the ones you love, social placement, and socialization besides regulation of sexual activity through the incest taboo (meaning that there shouldn’t have sexual relationship or marriage between certain kin). Between all the things I learned that were functions of the family, one seems to me the most important, emotional and material security because those are the base of a good and happy family, once the others can change. Due to career changes, a lot of families now-a-days move quite often, thus every time you move you have to once again adapt yourself to the new habits of the place you are and start to socialize, going through the whole social path again (meeting the people, getting to know there culture, showing them your culture and adapting yourself to the new). I admit that this path it is not easy but if you have material and emotional security you’ll go through it easier. For me it was a bit different because I didn’t have my â€Å"blood family† with me but they were supporting me every way they could. Even without them, it wasn’t hard to adapt myself to the American culture because I also had my American family with me. Whenever I had difficulty with something in the American culture I had my American family to help me to understand the new concepts and also to show me some other new things; and whenever I need help in accepting the new cultural values, my Brazilian family (even far from me) were supporting me and showing me that all the values they taught me when I was younger were now going to be used because, sometimes you don’t need to like the new but you always have to respect it. My family taught me that the love, affection and companionship family members have for each other are bigger than any other feelings someone can have and that is what makes a family, that’s what makes family such an important concept in everyone lives.

Exceptional Things That Great Teachers Do

Exceptional Things That Great Teachers Do All teachers are not created equal. Some are frankly better than others. It is a privilege and special opportunity when we have a great one. Great teachers go above and beyond to ensure that each child is successful. Many of us have had that one teacher that inspired us more than any other. Great teachers are able to bring the best out of every student. They are often energetic, fun, and seemingly always at the top of their game. Their students look forward to coming to their class each day. When students are promoted to the next grade, they are sad that they are leaving but armed with the skills necessary to be successful. Great teachers are rare. Many teachers are capable, but there are a select few who are willing to spend the time necessary to hone their skills enough to become great. They are innovators, communicators, and educators. They are compassionate, endearing, charming, and funny. They are creative, smart, and ambitious. They are passionate, personable, and proactive. They are dedicated, continuous learners who are gifted in their craft. They are in a sense the total teaching package. So what makes someone a great teacher? There is not a single answer. Instead, there are several exceptional things that great teachers do. Many teachers do a few of these things, but the great teachers consistently do them all. A Great Teacher Is Prepared:  Preparation takes a lot of time. Great teachers spend a lot of time outside of the school day preparing for each day. This often includes weekends. They also spend countless hours during the summer working to improve their craft. They prepare detailed lessons, activities, and centers each designed to maximize student learning opportunities. They create detailed lesson plans and often plan for more in a day than they typically can complete.Organized:  Being organized leads to efficiency. This allows great teachers minimal distractions and maximizes instructional time. Increasing instructional time will lead to an increase in academic success for students. Organization is about creating an efficient system to find resources and other materials quickly which a teacher needs. There are many different organizational styles. A great teacher finds the system that works for them and makes it better.A Continuous Learner:  They continuously read and apply the newest research i n their classroom. They are never satisfied whether they have taught for one year or twenty. They seek out professional development opportunities, research ideas online and subscribe to multiple teaching related newsletters. Great teachers are not afraid to ask other teachers what they are doing in their classrooms. They often take these ideas and experiment with them in their classroom. Adaptable: They recognize that each school day and each school year is different. What works for one student or one class may not work for the next. They continuously change things up to take advantage of individual strengths and weaknesses within a classroom. Great teachers are not afraid to scrap entire lessons and start back over with a new approach. They recognize when something is working and stick to it. When an approach is ineffective, they make the necessary changes.Constantly changing and never become stale: As trends change, they change with them. They grow each year they teach always improving across multiple areas. They are not the same teacher from year to year. Great teachers learn from their mistakes. They look to improve upon what has been successful and find something new to replace what has been not worked. They are not afraid to learn new strategies, technologies, or implement new curricula.Proactive:  Being proactive can stave off a lot of potential problems inc luding academic, discipline, or any other issue. It can prevent a small concern from turning into an enormous problem. Great teachers recognize potential problems immediately and work to fix them quickly. They understand that the time put into correcting a small problem is considerably less than it would be if it ballooned into something bigger. Once it becomes a large issue, it will almost always take away from valuable class time. Communicates:  Communication is a critical component of a successful teacher. They must be adept at communicating with several subgroups including students, parents, administrators, support personnel, and other teachers. Each of these subgroups must be communicated with differently, and great teachers are terrific at communicating with everyone. They are able to communicate so that every person understands the message they are trying to convey. Great teachers keep people informed. They explain concepts well and make people feel comfortable around them.Networks:  Networking has become a critical component of being a great teacher. It has also become easier. Social networks such as Google, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest allow teachers from all over the world to share ideas and provide best practices quickly. They also allow teachers to seek input and advice from other teachers. Networking provides a natural support system with those who share a similar passion. It provides great teachers with another means of learning and honing their craft. Inspires:  They are able to pull the best out of every student they teach. They inspire them to become better students, to maximize their time in the classroom, and to look towards the future. A great teacher takes an interest a student has and helps turn it into a passion making educational connections that will potentially last a lifetime. They understand that each student is different, and they embrace those differences. They teach their students that it is those differences that often make them exceptional.Compassionate:  They hurt when their students hurt and rejoice when their students rejoice. They understand that life happens and that the kids they teach do not control their home lives. Great teachers believe in second chances, but use mistakes to teach life lessons. They offer advice, counseling, and mentoring when necessary. Great teachers understand that school is sometimes the safest place a kid can be.Respected: Respect is earned over time. It does not come easy. Res pected teachers are able to maximize learning because they do not typically have classroom management issues. When they have an issue, they are dealt with quickly and in a respectable manner. They do not embarrass or berate the student. Great teachers understand you have to give respect before you earn respect. They are considerable and thoughtful to everyone but understand that there are occasions where they must stand their ground. Able to Make Learning Fun: They are unpredictable. They jump into character when reading a story, teach lessons with enthusiasm, take advantage of teachable moments, and provide dynamic, hands-on activities that students will remember. They tell stories to make real life connections. Great teachers incorporate student interests into their lessons. They are not afraid to do crazy things that motivate their students to learn.Going Above and Beyond:  They volunteer their own time to tutor a struggling student after school or on weekends. They help out in other areas around school when they are needed. A great teacher is the first to help a family of a student in need in any way they can. They advocate for the students when necessary. They look out for each student’s best interest. They do what it takes to ensure that each student is safe, healthy, clothed, and fed.Loving  What They Do:  They are passionate about their job. They enjoy getting up each morning and going to the ir classroom. They are excited about the opportunities they have. They like the challenges that each day presents. Great teachers always have a smile on their face. They rarely let their students know when something is bothering them because they worry it will affect them negatively. They are natural educators because they were born to be a teacher. Educating:  They not only teach students the required curriculum, but they also teach them life skills. They are in a constant state of teaching, taking advantage of impromptu opportunities that may captivate and inspire a particular student. They do not rely on a mainstream or boxed in approach to educate. They are able to take a variety of styles and mold them into their own unique style to meet the needs of the students that they have at any given time.
